Yes. A $100 deposit is required to reserve your session date and time and will be applied to your final balance. Dates and times are officially reserved on a first come, first serve basis once the deposit is received.

If we are unable to complete the session at all during your stay due to weather, the deposit will be fully refunded.

If your plans change and you visit Oahu in the future, I am often happy to apply a previously paid deposit toward a future session.

Hawaii weather can change quickly, so I monitor conditions the day of your session. If needed, we may adjust the location or reschedule for better weather whenever possible. If the session is unable to happen due to weather, your deposit will be fully refunded.

The best lighting is usually around sunrise or sunset when the light is soft and flattering. Sunrise sessions tend to be quieter with fewer people on the beach, while sunset sessions offer beautiful golden light. I’m happy to recommend the best timing based on the location and your schedule.

Neutral colors, soft tones, and flowy fabrics photograph beautifully in Hawaii. I recommend colors like white, cream, beige, tan, light blue, sage green, blush pink, soft yellow, or other pastel shades. Coordinating colors (rather than everyone wearing the exact same outfit) tend to photograph the best.

Try to avoid busy patterns, large logos, neon colors, and bright reds or oranges, as they can be distracting and don't complement the natural scenery as well.

Bare feet are always a great choice for beach sessions, and light, breathable fabrics help create beautiful movement in photos. If you're wearing a dress, longer or flowy styles photograph especially well.

Absolutely! Most people say they feel a little awkward in front of the camera at first. I guide you through natural poses while also capturing candid moments so your photos feel relaxed and authentic.

Most sessions are simple and relaxed, but a few small things can help. If you’re bringing young children, snacks or small toys can be helpful. For beach sessions, I recommend bringing a towel, water, and comfortable shoes for walking to the location. If you're interested in ending the session with a few fun photos in the ocean, I recommend bringing a change of clothes and a towel for afterward!

That’s completely normal! I keep sessions relaxed and flexible so kids can be themselves, and I’m very comfortable working with all personalities, including shy, grumpy, or moody little ones. Some of the best photos actually come from candid moments while children are playing or interacting naturally with their surroundings.

Yes! Family sessions can include children, grandparents, or extended family members. Just let me know your group size when booking so I can recommend the best session length. For groups larger than six people, there is a $30 fee per additional person. I also provide additional edited photos beyond the standard package amount to account for larger groups and extra family combinations.

Your edited gallery is typically delivered within 1-4 weeks. I carefully edit each image to ensure the colors, lighting, and details match my style.

No! I carefully position and compose photos to minimize distractions, and I also use Photoshop to remove people, distractions, and other unwanted elements from the background whenever possible. My goal is to create clean, beautiful images that keep the focus on you and your family while preserving the natural beauty of Hawaii.

All delivered images are professionally edited to reflect my photography style. RAW or unedited files are not included with standard packages, but they can be purchased separately for an additional fee if requested.

Yes! Your gallery includes high-resolution images with a print release so you can print and share your photos. Your online gallery also has the option to order professional-quality prints directly if you’d like them printed and shipped to you.
