  • Maternity sessions are usually best scheduled between 28–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully visible while you’re still comfortable enough to move around and enjoy the session.

  • Flowy dresses, soft fabrics, and neutral or pastel tones photograph beautifully on Oahu beaches. Creams, soft blues, sage green, blush pink, and muted earth tones work especially well at sunset or sunrise.

  • Absolutely! Partners and children are always welcome and often make the session feel even more meaningful and personal.

  • Sunset is the most popular time for maternity photos because of the soft golden lighting and beautiful skies. Sunrise sessions are also a beautiful option for quieter beaches and cooler temperatures.

  • Maternity sessions often take place at beautiful beach locations around Oahu including Secret Beach in Ko Olina near Disney’s Aulani Resort and the Four Seasons, Kahala Beach near the Kahala Resort, Kaaawa Beach, and Lanikai.

  • Weather in Hawaii can change quickly, and light rain often creates beautiful skies and soft lighting for photos. If heavy rain prevents the session from happening, timing can often be adjusted or the session rescheduled during your stay. If the session is unable to happen due to rain, your deposit will be fully refunded.

  • Absolutely! Most people say this before their session. I’ll guide you naturally throughout the photoshoot so everything feels relaxed, flattering, and comfortable rather than overly posed.
